Art is so beautiful to me because of what it represents. It is an outlet for human expression, a medium through which we navigate our thoughts, feelings, and any aspect of our lives we cannot rationally make sense of. Each piece of art work is a creative impulse unique to the artist, it allows you to enter the mind of others and feel what they feel and see what they see. To me there is nothing more beautiful. As an artist, I see myself as an individual who is responsible for telling your story. Additionally, a portion of every sale I make will be donated to the following non-governmental organizations: UNICEF Bangladesh, the Toronto & Montreal South Asian Women’s Centre and ActionAid Bangladesh. My parents are immigrants from Bangladesh and it is very important to me to positively impact the Bangladeshi community both in Canada and in Bangladesh. I have chosen these three organizations because I have had personal interactions with them through research activities or volunteering. Please feel to contact me if you know of any other organizations that aim to support South Asian’s, I am always looking to expand my list to those I donate too!
